Our long-awaited spring not only brings sunshine and warmth, but also means it's time for tea for moms and their daughters at Hearthside's American Girl Doll Tea.
Now in its 8th year, the American Girl Doll Tea is a memorable time
that has become a tradition for many families and a new experience for
many.
Geared to young girls ages 5-10
and their dolls, the Tea offers an opportunity to dress up and attend a
fancy afternoon tea with their moms. The girls learn proper manners
while sipping tea from elegant china and enjoying miniature tea
sandwiches and sweets, just as Samantha, the 1904 American Girl Doll character, would have done during that time at her grandmother's mansion.
Prizes, raffles, a favor for each girl, tours of the house
and shopping for a special treat in Hearthside's Gift Shop, which will
include a wonderful collection of handmade outfits and accessories for the dolls, all make for a memorable afternoon.
Because of the popularity of the event, it is being held on two days, and there are two seatings offered each day at 12:30 p.m. or 2:30 p.m. Tickets are available to the public starting April 30th and the cost is $20 per person. Our members enjoy the benefit of early purchase
starting April 20th and receive a 10% discount. Seating is limited and
is always a sell-out. Tickets must be purchased in advance by calling
Hearthside at 401-726-0597.
