Good manners at the table

Table Manners (Ingalls' Home Magazine, 1889) "Good manners at the table are of the greatest importance, for one can, at a glance, discern whether a person has been trained to eat well... to drink quietly, and not as a horse or cow drinks... There is no position where the innate refinement of a person is more fully exhibited than at the table."
