As I look at the face of this man, I see strength and determination, a God fearing man with the passion for adventure. His face moves me. They say you can learn a lot about a person by seeing his home.
House of Christopher Columbus
Says the sign.
But it is not.
It is the remains of a house from that period.
No reason at all to believe Christopher Columbus lived here. He may have, of course.
It's very close to the Palazzo Ducale and on the edge of the old quarter, so no harm to spare it a glance.
All is unclear, but it is very interesting finds for historian, like myself.
Well, I wish all a "Happy Columbus Day Weekend!"

Thank you - - with all the anti-Columbus sentiment out there it's refreshing to read your post!
People of today need to look at history from its time - not our time. You cannot place 21st century morals and values upon those from even 50 years ago, much less 500 years ago.
Columbus truly was a great man - much greater than most alive today could ever hope to be!
People are also today quick to notice the mistakes of our past, not looking at the mistakes they are making right now.
