I just found your blog from Googling Lady Sarah Forbes Bonetta Davies. I am very pleasantly surprised to find an African American blogger who loves the Victorian era. While life was not exactly heavenly for people of color in America during those times, I do love the clothing of that era and the impeccable manner that people had. I love most the clothing from the regency period. When I was growing up during the sixties and seventies females stilled dresses very feminine. A lot of that has been lost since then.
